Typography for Print Promo

GEC was tapped once again to create a promotional piece for a long time established Drum and Bass weekly in San Francisco. The organizers at Shelter had ordered for a simple spread that can be legible in low light. The result was use of masking with a color scheme consistent with the branding. Find the final print product in the Print page under the Promotional section. More projects are underway to produce creative assets for specific events for Shelter. Stay tuned!

New Promo Poster

Complete and ready to hit the printing press is this brand new poster made for the Underground SF. Here, we went for a Victorian influence while keeping sight of its target audience by having fun with paper torn textures and breaking the rules of “2 fonts only” typography. The result — A great promotional piece for the night that everyone can get excited about and we hope you do too. This latest addition can be found in the collection of prints.

GEC answered the call when approached by a fellow designer who had been stuck on a project of his with Adobe Illustrator in CS2. As a self taught Photoshop user, his knowledge of Ilustrator was much more advanced than intermediate level. His understanding of layers and vectors were solid. He had been applying logos and design elements to a print wrap for a commercial vehicle, however he had been spent many hours in figuring out the functionality of the Selection Tool vs the Direct Selection tool vs Convert Anchor Point Tool to efficiently and quickly reshaped any desired vector.
